Happy Mother's Day

We did the long distance thing again this year. Dan's brother was kind enough to pick up and deliver the flowers we ordered over the phone. He hand delivered to both CA Mom's and they both loved the flowers and sent pictures. I hope everyone else out there has a wonderful Mother's Day!

The Wall

Dan is home again and I am so glad! He should be staying for a little while this time but as always who knows? He is off for the next few days so we plan on just hanging out and enjoying the weather. Hopefully we can play around in the yard. That is play around with the yard! The grass was getting pretty out of hand so I was very happy to find out he is coming home and can work that out. We still have some weird seed/weed growing out there. Dan thought it might be the grass trying to seed but then someone else told me it was just a weed. Maybe our grass is the weed! Other wise the lawn is look great and nothing like it did a year ago when we first got here. This picture also shows the the almost new wall! We still haven't decided exactly what we want to do with it.

Things that live in the trees...

We have this great new friend in the who had taken up residency in the backyard! I think it is adorable eating out of the birdfeeder! After several days of getting closer and closer it finally let me get close enough to take a great picture. However, my Jack Russell and the "rat" are not happy with the fact with this little guy in living in the back! Baby Dog (Amos) on the other hand could really care less about what lives in the backyard as long at it stays in the trees and away from him!

Bowling...I haven't been bowling in over more than a year. I just realized that today. We use to go on the base all the time before we moved here. We always had a good time even though I wasn't never a great at it. Since we moved it just hasn't been high on our list. Anyway, the FSG had a ladies night tonight and everyone went bowling and then to dinner. We had a great time and even though I couldn't bowl I really did enjoy it! I think the next outing is going to be kid friendly and something like mini golf! That should be interesting and fun.

Falling, Falling, Falling

Today wasn't the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last but I have once again tripped and fallen down the stairs in our house. Thankfully it isn't a full staircase or chances are I would be in the hospital right now. I actually only hurt my ankle so I am thankful for that. Many more of these falls and I am likely to have some brain damage!

Well so much has gone on in the past month I haven't a chance to blog anything! We are all doing good and the time is flying by. I can't believe it is actual Spring again! The winter did seem long until now that is. Now the weather is starting to be decent again the winter seems to have been long ago. We are actually having some sunny days!
I am also more involved with the FSG so that does take up some of the free time I use to have. Dan has been coming and going more recently so it has been nice to have things going on.
Now that everything has settled down a bit I'd like to give more attention to the blog. I have a bunch of things to post here but it is going to take a little time to get caught up on everything.
