Hurry up and wait

I have say the time is starting to get away from me. I feel like I am so busy every minute and I just want to stop and take a break. With homecoming on my mind that isn't really an option.

I still have tons to get done and my brother-in-law will be here in just a day or two. It seems like yesterday when he called to tell us he was joining the Navy. It pretty funny how when I think of that it seems like the time has flown bye but when I think about this Mission is seems like it started years ago rather than months.

Totally off topic but I came across this video that I saw a long time ago...just thought I would share it. It is one of my favorites.

I am also rather impressed with this which by the way is long overdue. I just hope they expand this once the pilot program is up and running.

If this doesn't make you smile...

This is one of those things that just makes you smile. This is Amos (the middle child) of the three. This is his famous "I am cute and you love me pose" which this picture doesn't really do justice.

When time stands still

Overall I am doing good. I think that time has really started to stand still but isn't that better than life flying by so fast you can even hold on.

"I know that change is just around the comer
Before long it will arrive at my door
Once again things be different
Different than they were before"

Live your own life

"We don't always know what makes us happy. We know, instead, what we think SHOULD. We are baffled and confused when our attempts at happiness fail...We are mute when it comes to naming accurately our own preferences, delights, gifts, talents. The voice of our original self is often muffled, overwhelmed, even strangled, by the voices of other people's expectations. The tongue of the original self is the language of the heart."~ Julie Cameron

We are each unique beings with a unique path in life. If we wish to be fulfilled, we need to go to our own hearts for direction. We might regularly ask ourselves:"What do I really want to do?" "What brings me greatest happiness?" "How can I bring more of these into my life?" Life wants us to go for what brings us most joy and meaning."It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. ...I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing."~ Oriah Mountain Dreamer

"Let me listen to me and not to them."~ Gertrude Stein

"What you must dare is to be yourself."~ Dag Hammarskjold
