NSSS Group - Thank you Diane!

Well after some back and forth with FedEx Diane was able to actually get them to deliver the package she sent me for the Dec. NSSS group. Those who know me, know I am a recipe girl. I have done so many recipe swap on the Cricut Board that I had to make this to keep them all in. lol
Well she made me 4 more awesome recipe pages to add to my collection. Someday (yeah someday) I am going try to bind these into books but for now this is how I store them. The four she sent me are pictured below. The last picture is of all the other goodies she sent me....include the Snow Friends Cart. Cool huh? Thank you Diane!

Christmas Candy Tin

I saw this project over on Okieladybugs Blog and I had just order some of these tins from Stampin' Up. How perfect right? Well she also had a cut file all ready to go. So of course I had to give it a try. Here is what I came up with. I had a great time making this and she is right when she said it is pretty easy to make. I did leave some of the back pages blank so someone could
add their own recipes if they want to.
The pages inside.

Christmas Paint Can Swap

This was SUCH a fun swap to do. I loved making this paint can and I was really happy with the way it turned it. I used paper and ribbon from CTMH for this can and also for the Hello Kitty Can. I did get a little excited with this one and forgot to take a picture after I added the ribbon. So close your eyes and imagine it with red and white ribbon on the handle. lol

For this swap I had another AWESOME partner Diane. She made this adorable can and the tree is made out of buttons! How creative is that? Cute right? I am not sure how she got all the goodies inside this can but it was jam packed full of goodies! Thank you Diane!

I'm back!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I have been busy working on my own things! Sadly, I don't have anything finished to share...but I do have a few things I have worked on but couldn't show because they were for swaps and I needed to my partners to receive them before posting pictures. So two were paint cans. I had never done a paint can swap before so I decided to host one and then also ended up joning a Christmas themed paint cans swap.

Here is the one I did for my partner in the swap I hosted. I had so much fun making this and I used a Hello Kitty theme because she had just gotten a new kitty.

I would also like to thank CLE for being such a great partner. Here is a picture of the can and goodies she sent me.

Fall Fun Frame

Last week I was the random drawing winner for the Digi Kitty Challenge. So this week I was asked to be their guest designer. I was so excited to work on this and I hope everyone enjoys it.

I started with a plain wood frame and painted it with Apple Barrel Barn Red Paint. Then sealed it with Clear Acrylic Sealer. The cute image is Digi Kitty's Scarecrow Bear and you can find him in the shop, along with many other great digi stamps. I colored him with Close To My Heart watercolor pencils. The words I cut out with the Cricut using the Alphalicious font and then just added some glitter fall leaves and acorns.

The picture is of my daughter, Isadora in the corn maze. This year was her first trip to the pumpkin patch and we had a wonderful time.
Now get over to the Digi Kitty Challenge Blog and get all the details of this challenge!

Beach Layout

I wanted to post this a long time ago when I did it but never got around to posting it. I was sorting some pictures tonight and found it. The was back in the summer for a Summer Fun themed swap on the Cricut Board. I think it came out great.

NSSS - October

I have a new NSSS for the last three months of the swap and I was so excited to work on the things for her this month. I love Halloween and so this was really lots of fun. We decided to do some things different than what was posted. Here is what I did.

This was a bag filled with goodies. I used SCAL to cut the Hat. It was pretty simply as you can see.

Layout - I used SCAL for the font and the spiderweb stamp in a CTMH stamp set.

This is a mini paint can filled with Candy Corn
This is a mini album and I loved how it came out! I wanted to keep it. lol

Paper Pups Hi Card

I look at this cartridge all the time and think how cute it is but it seems like I never use it. Do you have any carts like that? Anyway, today I just wanted to make some simple cards to have on hand so that I could use them to just send a note to anyone. I think it is pretty cute for a really quick simple card. I am also glad I used this cart. Again I used stickles and liquid pearls. I seem to use them on everything. The ink is CTMH Cocoa and dog face stamp is Peachy Keen.

(The card looks bent in this picture but it actually the shadow)

Hello Kitty Strawberry

OK if you haven't seen her 100Th video yet you might want to go over to the The Pink Stamper's Blog and watch it! There is a great surprise at the end. I am not going to tell you what it is just have to go watch. While you are there check out some of her other videos too! She has some great stuff there.

In the video she made the cutest card with the Hello Kitty Greetings strawberry. I loved this card so much I had to give it a shot. I didn't stamp mine because I made a bunch of them and thought I could stamp them as I use them. I do this often with cards, make a bunch and leave them blank. Then I can add the finishing touches when I actually use the card. Her finished card is wait cuter well because it is finished and because she stamped it and added some cute buttons but I still like mine! lol

Little box purse...

So lately I have been using liquid pearls. Every tried these? I don't know what it is but I LOVE them. Really I mean what does Ranger make that I don't love?? Anyway you can see all the colors if you click here. I use to look at these all the time before I finally bought them at the LSS. I just wasn't sure what I would do with pearl. I am so glad I did because now I use them all the time.

Here is a little box purse that I found on clearance. I think I paid a buck for it. It was so cute I just couldn't pass it up. So I decided to use it for a swap but I wanted to dress it up a little. I used stickles to give it some sparkle and you guessed it.....liquid pearls! Here is picture of the box and close up of the pearls.

Altered Journal

I made a couple simple gifts for a friend who has a birthday this week. I think they came out really cute and they so easy to make.

The journal I bought a while ago....actually I bought several of these, planned on using them for something, did use them, stuck them away. I found them a couple of days ago and thought they would make really cute altered gifts. The paper is from the Spring DCWV stack and the stamp is Close to my Heart. You can see the whole set if you click here I have had this set for a while now and love it. I find I can use it for a lot of different things.
The Starbucks bottle has starburst in it (yes I bought candy to match the paper, lol) and I have wanted to make some of these for a while now. I have tons of these bottles that I have been saving and finally used one! I just painted the lid and used the same paper that I used on the journal. Hopefully, she like it!

They seem to be the craze now! But these aren't for scrap booking or card making. These were eaten. I made these for my friend who had the birthday this week. They were so good! I actually filled them with chocolate and then did the tops. I only made 6 though because it took me forever.... and the Happy Birthday I cut with the Cricut.

Something new...

I have been wanting to try this for a long time. However, it is was on a long list of things I want to try. I finally decided to give it a shot and I was so pleased with how it turned out. I am using it in a swap as the altered item and I really hope my partner will enjoy it.

I bought the unfinished wood at M's or J's. I can't remember which because it was that long ago. I painted it with glitter soaked chocloate acrylic paint, cut out the words and then added the flowers, buttons and ric rac. Once it was all finished and dry I sprayed it with two coats of clear acrylic sealer.

Photo Box Swap

This was such a fun swap! It was hosted Dina "EthansGrandma" on the Cricut Board. If you ever have the chance to join one of her should!

This was a plain white photo box that I bought, painted and stamped. The dream, create and inspire were cute with cricut. The butterfly was made and embossed with the Cuttlebug. The buttons I made. Then I added the flowers and some ribbon.

We also made the dividers to go inside the box. I am showing a close up of the buttons on the box because they came out so cute. I took clear buttons and and used paper that I had. I cute out little round pieces and glued them to the back of the button before I put them on the box. Cute huh?

Let me just say that I LOVE tags. I am not sure why but I do. Here are some using SCAL. I think the file was a free download. I make several sets of these to send to people.
